Oh Hey Girl, Los Angeles
Oh Hey Girl.Eight months ago we did our first trial OHG Experience quietly, three friends, giggly and excited and we had no idea what we were doing. The following month we did another one, more girls, complete strangers to each other, even better than the first. Then we finally announced this little project of ours. The last one we held in LA in December left me marveling at what we had created. It continues to amaze me how much beauty is in each of us – even if we don’t see it in ourselves, it’s there. The women we have met, most of them strangers now forever linked through this experience (and Instagram of course), have each given me a new impression on being a woman. It’s not the length of their hair or what their abs look like that matters the most, it’s the stories they have shared with us. I wish I could shake each one of us and tell ourselves how great we are.We are holding another Los Angeles Oh Hey Girl on Wednesday, January 27th. We found this amazing AirBnb of a building that was built in the 20s, originally a church and now converted to lofts. I mean, there are stained glass windows people. We could not be more excited. We definitely want and plan to take this to other cities this year. This is our third one held in LA and I am ready to take it beyond. If you didn’t know, Oh Hey Girl isn’t your typical boudoir, just the way we like it. I wish I could share each photo and each woman that has joined us but with respect to them and those that have asked us to keep it private I am sharing what I can. These women, I look at their photos and remember who they are as people, remember their stories and remember just how beautiful they truly are from the inside. We love to have fun and be silly to make everyone feel comfortable on set. And since Kathrina is the only one with a camera, she ends up with a pretty good blooper reel of Vivian and I. "Oh Emilee, watch where your hands go please."Here let me just block who you’re supposed to be photographing… Poke. Poke."Oh wait let me give you a hug first. ""Girl you look thirsty."And this. This is a reminder of the relationships we have created. These girls come in as strangers to us and each other. And at the end of the day we all walk away as friends. If you are interested in signing up for JANUARY 27th EMAIL at ohheygrl@gmail.com
