Spring is quickly approaching... which means, wedding season is in full swing. And if you're planning a wedding for 2016,  you're probably starting to feel the weight of your To-Do list right about now. Self care is so unbelievably important, and as planners we do our best to handle all the logistics for you, but we can't force you to relax or not be stressed. BUT we can give you a super easy bath bomb recipe to encourage to do a little detox slash relaxation session every once in awhile (wink, wink)So whether you are in the midst of wedding planning, running your own biz, at home all day with the kiddos, or work M-F 9-5 and need a seriously bath-time break, this DIY is for you! And don't worry, if you don't have a bath, these work great in a shower. Just be sure to let a bit of water stay ( about to your ankles) for the aromatherapy to do it's job. Baking Soda, Corn Starch, Epsom Salts, Citric Acid, Essential Oils, Water, Coconut Oil, moldsDisclaimer: there are lots of bath bomb DIYS out there, most will also include food coloring. In an effort to give you the best experience possible - as well as best ingredients to soak your body in - we felt like taking food coloring out of the mix. Ain't nobody got time for chemicals!Step 1: Mix your dry ingredients together: 4oz Baking Soda, 2 oz Corn Starch, 2oz Epsom Salts, 2oz Citric AcidStep 2: In a separate bowl mix in 1-1 1/2 tsp Water, 2 tsp Coconut Oil, and 1 tbs of essential oil of your choice. I use Young Living and if you want to sign up for a whole kit you can do so HERE, or you can just order them individually! If you're looking to relax, Lavender is a great choice (I made lavender for this tutorial because I can't get enough of it!). If you're sick, Eucalyptus and Peppermint are great options. There are so many different blends you can do - the possibilities are endless. I also love the YL blend Peace & Calming... can I get an amen on that name?!Step 3: Slowly pour your wet ingredients into your dry ingredients while mixing quickly. You don't want to go so fast, that it starts fizzing like crazy. We want that fizz for bath time.Step 4: Once your mixture is well blended, you'll take one end of your "ball" mold and pack in the power all the way to the top, almost overflowing. Then, pack the other end of the ball and press them firmly into each other. Now, switch hands and slowly take the first end you packed off. I like to keep one side on and let them dry out that way. Best if they can dry out over night*, or most of the day. Once dry, you can gently (very gently) take the bottom mold off, and you'll have a bomb!* If you don't have molds, or the mold packing is too difficult, you can always just pack your mixed powder into a mason jar (the ones with a seal lid) and you're done! Just use about half in your tub at a time - and it will totally work just the same!
